Geli Tak Pegang Gamat?

Image
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. Geli ke tak pegang gamat? Haaa sabauuu (Orang Melaka R jadi U haha), baca sampai habis. Never thought of holding a 'gamat' before. In fact, tak pernah terfikir boleh jumpa gamat depan mata! Selalu ingat pergi Langkawi je boleh jumpa gamat haha noob. So where can you hold a gamat other than pulau-pulau and pantai? Oceanarium in The Shore, Melaka! (Promote Melaka jap haha) The Shore? Oceanarium? Apa minah ni cakap ni. Haha but to be honest I myself didn't know bout this place before. The Shore is actually a new shopping mall. A shopping mall in a hotel err I guess so. Seronok ada gang discover new places ni, luckily Ummi pun cuti juga today hehe. Pusing punya pusing dengan Ummi cari The Shore and finally we arrived at that place. Oceanarium (at 2nd floor, in front of DIY) ni lebih kurang macam Aquaria KLCC. They have fish turtles fish turtles okay banyak lah lain. Oh oh and gamat! After buying tickets, the...

Sunathon - A Lesson About Circumcision

Image
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. When was my last post again? About a month ago wow so berhabuk! Before that, my deepest sympathy goes out to all flood victims out there especially in Kelantan, Terengganu, Perlis, Kedah, Perak and Pahang. May Allah comfort you and your family in this time of grief. Stay strong! And for those who aren't affected by flood, don't take this time as an opportunity to be "famous" in social media and this matter should not be politicised. Why don't we, hand-to-hand, together helping them as much as we could do. At least, pray for their safety and welfare. Alright now let's move on to our main topic for today. Sunathon is basically a combination of Sunat (Circumcision) and Marathon or in other words, mass circumcision. IMU doesn't provide this kind of training so about 20+ of us (under IMU Muslim Society) paid a few amount and went to Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences last week to learn every...

History Taking (Video Recording Session)

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. Yeayyy done with my video recording session! What's 'video recording'? Video recording is actually another type on how we learn during the clinical skills session. We will have to interview a simulated patient (history taking) according to the case that we get. The duration for the interview is 5 minutes and another 1 minute is for the simulated patients (SP) to give feedback. What we do will be recorded and on the following week we'll get feedback from our peers. I was quite excited and a bit nervous. Excited because this is the time to know where am I (at which level) and nervous because this is my very first time! We were divided into few groups and guess what? I was in group 1! Each of us got a room and a case. I was assigned to be in the room 29C. My case for today's video recording was a patient with sore throat. I just waited in the room until the patient came in. Okay now I'm going to tell on ...

First Hospital Visit

Image
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. As I already promised, in this post I'm gonna tell you how was my hospital visit to Hospital Tuanku Jaafar Seremban and what I learned yesterday. Before this yes, I did a work shadowing in KPJ when I was doing my A Level in INTI but the fact as we know, there are lots of differences between a govt and private hospital. Besides, this time we had to shadow nurses instead of doctors! I was really really really looked forward to this nursing week and it turned out that almost everything was awesome! I slept early the night before so that I won't wake up late on the next day. We gathered in front of IMU by 7 and as usual, Sanaa and I arrived sharp at 7 just few seconds right before the bus took off. Usually I sleep straight away when the bus leaves but yesterday, I was not! I was very excited that I felt like every single second was really precious and shouldn't be wasted by sleeping haha. We arrived HTJ about 1 hour later. ...

Still Can't Move On

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. Listening to Richard Marx - Waiting For You and this song never fails to make me really sad. Cried almost every time listening to it. It was Datuk's all time fav song. I heard he sang this song for the first time when we were in the car as he drove me back to my home from kindergarten. 251st day since he left us, but I still can't move on. I always try my best to avoid looking at his photo, searching his video and smelling his shirt so that I won't cry like a baby in front of others. But sometimes, I miss him too much that only by crying (while reciting du'a) could I feel satisfy. If I could turn back time, I would tell him thousand times every day that I really love him. If I could turn back time, I would go to his house every day just like what I did when I was in kindergarten and primary school. If I could turn back time, I would record his actions and daily activities so that I would never forget his voice...

My Very First Time

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. Hi guys! Today was a busy day for me. I had 3 lectures, mms and clinical skills session. Plus, I just finished practising an act that we'll present in front of the whole class during History of Medicine tomorrow. Here I just wanna share something with you guys. Something that happened to me today. The first time of what I should have done years before. To be honest, I never became an imam during prayer time even when I was in secondary school (all girls). Well basically because I started to wear scarf (tudung) when I was in form 4 so I always thought that I didn't deserve to be an imam. Sometimes my friends did asking me to be the imam but I always refused. Yes, I pretended like I wanna lead the solat jemaah but I didn't (zaman jahil sikit). Last night, I was eating laksa when I heard azan Maghrib. Immediately I stopped eating and said to Kak Nas that I wanted to join them to solat berjemaah. Kak Nas was the imam w...
