Treat Chunks And Pieces As A Whole

Image
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. It's 1.30 am. I was supposed to sleep 2 hours ago, but my eyes seem to refuse, though I had already drunk a cup of milk. Blame the culprit; what else other than the late night thoughts, which lead to over thinking? Haha. I started to realise that life is made of chunks and pieces, but it should be treated as a whole. Those pieces complement one another. Instead of like jigsaw puzzle, they are more like a sphere made up of irregular torn papers, stacking and overlapping on each other. One part affects the other part either directly or indirectly, especially to us, girls. You know how girls' minds can be really complicated sometimes.  Maybe you guys are wondering, what am I talking about? What do I mean by treating life as a whole? It means.. well as for example, if you're studying and at one point your brain can't accept and absorb knowledge anymore. You try to recall what you have read, but your mind is totally b...

Eldaterra Reunion

Image
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. There's a lot of things happening right now, but I'm going to update about my batch reunion first, which was held 2 weeks ago. Just to clarify for those who do not know. Eld is actually the short form for our batch (Seri Puteri 0711) name, Eldaterra. My friends, Dala, Ayef and a few more were the masterminds of this memorable event. The most exciting part was... *drum roll* I got the chance to meet my best friends, all at once! Except for Zahraa, who's in Jordan right now. But, she's gonna come back for good soooonnnn as she'll graduate a few months more. No reason not to meet after this hehe.  The night before the reunion day, 5 of my best friends came to my (2nd) house in Vista Komanwel and stayed here for 2 nights! We had so much fun, just like the old times during high school when we gathered in the dorm and had a chit chat until one by one fell asleep. It was just about the same. The same us, the same person, t...

Raya Celebration Was Hmm . . .

Image
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. How was your Raya celebration guys? Hope everything went well! Mine? Alhamdulillah, 'twas fun! I've got to spend about a month at home. 2 weeks left before new semester starts, phew the time passes really fast whenever I'm at home and I don't think I'm the one who feels like this, am I right? Haha. Anyway, this post is gonna be a throwback post about what happened the last few days, with a combination of writing, photos and videos from snapchat and 'boomerang' apps. Before Raya, I went to Guardian to look around and have some fun trying the make up testers on the back of my hand. I ended up buying these 2 gorgeous stuff, which I never know how to use. I simply put them on my eyebrows and eyelids, blended here and there with multiple kind of shades and looked at the mirror to see the final result. Not that I used them without looking at the mirror, but it's different when you look one part of your face at...

Luqman Was Missing!

Image
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.  Meet Luqman everyone! Today is the fifth day of Raya. Not sure if it's still considered as Raya or not. But Syawal is one month, so I consider it as a yes haha. So far, Raya has been good to me. I'm quite nervous for the upcoming new semester, marking the final semester we'll be in IMU Bukit Jalil before going to IMU clinical school in Seremban (if I pass, InshaaAllah!). But, let's spend time with family to the fullest first, shall we? After this, most of the time will be spent in hospital, so I don't think I can go back every weekend. *brb crying* In a blink of an eye, day passes so fast, leaving yesterday as a memory. I ate so many ketupats and sambal bali (favourite dish cooked by nenek), and little did I realise how fast Raya Day 1 has become Day 5, phew. Nonetheless, I still can recall what happened on the first day of Raya.  Luqman is my cute-little-youngest cousin who had just turned 4 yesterday. ...

Depression And Cyberbullying

Image
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.  Depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, etc. are real. It's not a joke that you should make fun of. It might come to a point where suicidal thoughts linger in their minds, when they think life is no better than that. It is real, people. It is happening, right now, in some people. I learned about depression and bipolar disorder last semester, though not really in detail like a psychiatrist nor a clinical student, but it is enough to let us know that they are real. It might be seen as ridiculous, but none of us know what these people have to go through. People look at these disorders lightly because they simply think "orang tu tak kuat iman" or "ikutkan sangat perasaan tu",  and instantly label them as itu ini. Those who only give negative comments instead of the constructive ones should learn how to understand a situation before judging and condemning. Cyberbullying makes it worse. Yes, I agree that suic...

15 Useful Tips For Krabi Budget Trip

Image
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. Here are some tips that I managed to remember. Hope this post will help you in planning your trip!  1. Fill in the immigration form in the flight. When we arrived, there was a really, really long line, queuing behind the immigration counters. We didn't write our flight number and 'address in Thailand' because we thought it wasn't important, but then at the counter itself, the customs officer asked us to fill everything, then we had to search back everything and write them down. Luckily, I saved all those details in my handphone. So, make sure you fill in EVERYTHING needed to save time. For 'address in Thailand', just write the address of the place you'll be staying.  2. Don't book any tour package while on your way from the airport to hotel. The van / taxi that you take will bring you to a company for packages and trip booking. DON'T BOOK ANY FROM THEM because you will get a wayyyy...

Book Review: Bidadari - Memoir Aishah Humairah

Image
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. I've never known her in person, nor what she studied or where she lived. But one thing I know, she was a fighter. She passed away a few months ago due to SLE, but that doesn't indicate she lost to SLE. Let me tell you why.  Some of you might wonder, what is SLE?  SLE stands for systemic lupus erythematosus or in a simpler layman's term, it means body immune system attacks healthy tissue. And because it's a systemic disease (affects whole body, does not focus on any particular area), it might attack any parts of body including skin, muscles, blood, heart, lungs, stomach, kidney etc. All these manifestations attack at the same time in a serious condition. It seemed impossible for one to endure such pain, but that was what she did. This book is compiled by her friends from the experiences they had with her; the ups and downs, the happiness and sadness. I really salute her friends who were always there for her, ...
