Tell Me: How Do I Look?

Image
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. Do you notice something new? Probably you do! Yup, I just changed my blog template weeee. Finally, a better one, I guess. More manageable and easy to handle. I don't have to pretend being like a pro, changing the html code here and there haha. Got a few posts in my drafts waiting to be posted, but I still don't have much time to write a proper one as I'll be sitting for my final exam next week! I'm so nervous. Wish me luck *fingers crossed*.  How do I look? I mean, how does my blog look? (Cause you prolly don't wanna give any comment to someone who has trouble in sleeping with obvious eye bags and a messed up daily routines haha). Oh, and if you click 'home' at the top bar, you can see there's a slider for a few topics! Sorry for being over-excited haha. Anyway, I would really appreciate if you guys could drop some comments and tell me your opinion on my blog's new look. Perhaps I should add anyt...

Something I Would Never Forget

Image
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. It was around 1pm. I wanted to go back home, so as usual I have to take the LRT from Sri Petaling to Terminal Bersepadu Selatan in Bandar Tasik Selatan and board on a bus from there. It was scorching hot outside although it rained cats and dogs this morning. Too lazy to walk, I decided to book a cab using the Grab app. A few minutes later, a taxi driver's photo and details showed up on my phone screen and another couple of minutes, I got a call from an Indian uncle, telling me that he had arrived. I saw the taxi turned to the other side, so I immediately called him to tell that he went to the wrong way and when he arrived, I apologised for not informing him earlier. I was a bit afraid at first, but the feeling went right away after looking at his cheerful character and kind expression. He told me that it was okay. The LRT station is just about 5 minutes away from Vista Komanwel (nampak lah malas nya tu hehe). The taxi metre sho...

Conversation Between Buses

Image
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.  Creds to Markcafiero.com I have to go back to KL today. New block starts tomorrow and though it's just an intro and briefing, I'm not gonna skip them. Furthermore, my friends are gonna start practising OSCE (1 month in BP makes me forget almost everything, but hopefully not!) and exam is really really near, so enough procrastinating.  After 1 month of driving back and forth between Batu Pahat and Melaka, finally I get back to my usual routine, taking the bus from Melaka to Bukit Jalil. Driving is fun, but it can be really tiring especially after you have had a long day in hospital. I just boarded into the bus. No one is sitting beside me, yeay! Both 2 chairs are mine hehehe. But, there's a divider between these 2 chairs, so getting both chairs doesn't mean anything. I still can't use the other one, unless if I can separate my legs from my upper abdomen and put them there hmm. The bus is fully air-condit...

Cinderella Carriage On The Rooftop

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.  Creds to http://thomasfitzgerald.photoshelter.com/ I just finished my one-month posting in Batu Pahat. I feel a bit relieved as staying there can be super tiring sometimes, but the sadness I felt the moment I saw 'Malacca border' was undeniable. Early mornings, long days, late on-calls and whatnots had strengthened the bond between us, making us comfortable with each other, like a family. Academically, we learned a lot about Medicine in a real setting, but not only that, we learned about each other as well. Though I can't say that one month is enough to really know someone, but it's enough to get rid of the awkwardness when eyes meet eyes. No need to pretend looking at the phone anymore haha. My group was the last group that stayed in Batu Pahat as we had a bedside teaching (bst) session on Thursday and other 3 groups had gone back on Wednesday. So only the 8 of us left on Wednesday's night; 4 guys in a house...

It Brings Me Back To 2015

Image
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.  This 'Heathens' song keeps playing in my mind. Blame the radio station that plays it every day. See, people tend to blame others instead of admitting their mistakes haha yes, I'm talking about myself. I'm currently having a posting in obstetrics and gynaecology (O&G), yup women stuff, from pregnancy to menstruation to ovary and uterus. This brings me back to the 2015, when I had my second hospital attachment a.k.a elective posting.  The first one I had when I was studying A-Level. The second one, I chose to do the 3-week-elective posting in O&G department with Tiara. Although it was kinda difficult that time as I hadn't studied about the reproductive system, nor did I have any idea of how the delivery was gonna look like. And I didn't even know what to expect and about the special components needed to clerk an obstetrics or gynaecology case, but it was such a great experience and overview. You can ju...

I Pricked Someone's Hand!

This post is supposed to be posted on 15th September 2016. Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.  Creds to Mr. Google I'm not going to write about how long I haven't written anything and how busy I am, uh-oh, I just did it haha. I have a lot of things to share throughout the one month I was 'Missing In Action', but I don't know where to start and where to put the full stop. Anyway, currently I'm having a 4-week-hospital posting in Batu Pahat, Johor. I had my Paediatrics rotation last week and just ended the medical ward rotation this afternoon. This morning we had a session with Sister N. She asked us to enter "Klinik Pakar 1" 3-4 people at a time. Sanaa, Aina, Marsaid and I were in the last sub group to enter the clinic. Sister N. straightly brought us to the blood withdrawal counter. It's show time. All this while we only did the venepuncture procedure on a mannequin, so finally we had a chance to do it on a real patient. Mar...

Treat Chunks And Pieces As A Whole

Image
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. It's 1.30 am. I was supposed to sleep 2 hours ago, but my eyes seem to refuse, though I had already drunk a cup of milk. Blame the culprit; what else other than the late night thoughts, which lead to over thinking? Haha. I started to realise that life is made of chunks and pieces, but it should be treated as a whole. Those pieces complement one another. Instead of like jigsaw puzzle, they are more like a sphere made up of irregular torn papers, stacking and overlapping on each other. One part affects the other part either directly or indirectly, especially to us, girls. You know how girls' minds can be really complicated sometimes.  Maybe you guys are wondering, what am I talking about? What do I mean by treating life as a whole? It means.. well as for example, if you're studying and at one point your brain can't accept and absorb knowledge anymore. You try to recall what you have read, but your mind is totally b...
