Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.  Creds to http://thomasfitzgerald.photoshelter.com/ I just finished my one-month posting in Batu Pahat. I feel a bit relieved as staying there can be super tiring sometimes, but the sadness I felt the moment I saw 'Malacca border' was undeniable. Early mornings, long days, late on-calls and whatnots had strengthened the bond between us, making us comfortable with each other, like a family. Academically, we learned a lot about Medicine in a real setting, but not only that, we learned about each other as well. Though I can't say that one month is enough to really know someone, but it's enough to get rid of the awkwardness when eyes meet eyes. No need to pretend looking at the phone anymore haha. My group was the last group that stayed in Batu Pahat as we had a bedside teaching (bst) session on Thursday and other 3 groups had gone back on Wednesday. So only the 8 of us left on Wednesday's night; 4 guys in a house...

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.  Counting down for my end of semester 3 examination wuaaaa mygaddd so cuak. I hope it's still not too late to update about my elective posting experience. To be in the wards was totally different from the time when we were in the labour room and clinics . We could do almost nothing as our supervisor had warned us not to touch the patient, not to take photos of patient or with the patient, not to do this, not to do that. Still terngiang-ngiang in my ears when she said, "Don't mess up with anything." (We nodded slowly dengan muka takut and kept silent). We read a few case files, then another one, and another one. Most of the time, we read case files. Another time when we were not.. we stood quietly in front of a patient's bed, thinking of what we should do. Haha yes, that bored. Boredom struck since the first day of our posting, nonetheless we still managed to learn something. Looking at us who looked clueless and ...

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. My laptop is broken down and currently being repaired. Luckily I have a very old PC at home, which I hated so much before because it's very slow and always lags haha. Okay, let's continue with the Penang food hunting journey, yeay! Sabar jelah nak type pun lagging..  ASTAKA TAMAN TUN SARDON It was our last day in Penang sobsob. We packed our things, checked out from the hotel and straight away went to Astaka Taman Tun Sardon for breakfast. In this area, there's a wet market and a food court. There are a few stalls, which sell a variety of food for breakfast. From kuih-muih, roti canai to even curry, soup, etc. They also have the famous serabai here. we bought 2 plates of serabai. I had eaten serabai a few times before. Serabai is like an apam but in a form of flat rounded shape and you eat it by dipping it into homemade kaya (sometimes with durian). Other than serabai, we also bought some kuih and 2 bowls of kuey t...
