Places To Eat & Visit In Penang (Day 1)

Image
Re-updated. Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. Finally, it's a post about Penang (yeay!), which I went a few weeks ago on July 2015.. berhabuknya lahai cerita ni dah haha. But nak cerita juga mana lah tahu it might be useful for anyone who wants to go Penang for food hunting hehe. It was a 3 days 2 nights trip (at first we only planned for 2D1N but we extended it) and the total budget was around RM400+ per person. We went there in Tiara's car with Tiara as the driver and Afar as the co-driver. Nisa and I? Kerja makan and ambil video & gambar kat belakang haha. Our main plan was to have a food hunting and sambil to singgah a few interesting places there. It was really last minute, malam ni plan lusa pagi terus pergi. Around 9 o'clock they came to my house and guess what.. I overslept! Mak aih, bangun bangun tengok Tiara and Afar had been already waiting in front of my house! I hurriedly went to unlock the door and rushed into the toilet to take a ...

Clean Eating Challenge

Image
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.  Someone asked me on my ask.fm "Kenapa dah lama tak aktif ask.fm busy ke second year hmm" hm okay should I answer it dengan gelak or dengan sedih, okay takpe combine dua dua; "Tak busy sangat pun, cuma takde orang tanya soalan" (insert laughing+crying emoji)  which is true, siapa jelah diri ini, tiada siapa kisah~ *lagu sedih berkumandang* hahaha. I'm not really busy as usually classes aren't really packed but then banyak benda itu ini yang I have to settle, so nampaklah macam busy padahal I stayed up last night until 1.30am just to watch movie T.T Eat clean = makan bersih?  Since when Ardilla makan tak bersih licin hm if makan tak bersih licin then it's not Ardilla haha. Eat clean means eat healthy food, less sugar, less oil and less unhealthy food. Past few days (ke semalam eh?) we learned about inflammatory polyps (isi terlebih dalam saluran perut) and 2 of the 3 main symptoms (rectal bleeding ...

Malaysian Currency And Sponsored Students

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.  Malaysian currency keeps falling, an amount of money is nowhere to be found, enforcement of Goods and Services Tax doesn't show any benefits, things get expensive and of course, people point fingers at each other but the truth is yet to be discovered. Neither an ignorant citizen nor a political master am I, plus this post has nothing to do with politics, I reckon so.  Sponsored students get an amount of money as allowance either every month or every semester, it depends on how the sponsors have dealt with you. A few weeks ago when the currency started declining sharply, everyone seemed panic, especially those who study in overseas, which dissatisfaction was still agreeable. Currency worsened and mysterious things were left unexplained created fire spark among the citizens. They asked for more, furiously. Comparing with those who get more than you won't make you any better as things won't change in this meanwhile and ...

Foodylla @ Warung Pojok, Petaling Jaya

Image
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. "Haa kau tak pernah pergi pojok? Biar betul kau ni." "Weh jom pergi pojok." "Dah lama weh aku tak makan pojok."  Pojok. Pojok. Pojok. Siapakah si pojok sebenarnya? Jeng jeng jeng. Haha Dylla pun tak pernah kenal pojok before this. Setelah beberapa tahun berlalu since the first day terasa nak makan, baru lah sekarang baru dapat makan *cerita sedih* haha. Pojok ni dulu kata mereka warung kecil je, tapi sekarang dah ada lot kedai sendiri, so lagi selesa lah if nak makan. Dylla baru pergi situ dua kali, both times Dylla order nasi putih dengan ayam penyet. And everytime ...

Foodylla @ Gravy Factory & Sangkaya, NU Sentral

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. I know I should have published this post last week, but now is the only time I have the mood to write something (yeah finally). As simple as today's title, allow me to skip the part where I simply changed my practical lab session and unintentionally skipped some lectures because the journey from KL Sentral back to Sri Petaling took a longer time than I expected... and just focus on what I wanna write which are about LRT and Food. Obviously, one topic has nothing to do with the other one haha. How to go to KL Sentral from Sri Petaling?  Usually I travel by LRT then change to KTM at Bandar Tasik Selatan (where the TBS is) but that day I was in a hurry so I tried to find a way other than the KTM, because KTM is quite slow and you have to wait for around 40 minutes to 1 hour if you miss the previous train so yeah I prefer taking the LRT. I read the map for public transportation and I noticed I can get to KL Sentral just by LRT but I hav...

Consoling Myself

Image
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.  There are times when your favourite food doesn't look tempting, ice cream can't make you happy, chatting with friends but feeling lonely, wanna cry but there's no tear. Silence can be really deafening sometimes, even become worse when your heart constantly longs for the true happiness at home.  I feel really uneasy and quite anxious lately with all the revised (harder) assessment, semester we have to pass, lecture notes we have to study, clinical skills we have to practise, stuffs we have to settle and handle. I'm stuck in the labyrinth of life, where even to read or write notes first become a big issue. Sad lyrics make sense, each word hits me well, seems meaningful, suits the atmosphere and the invisible aura around me. The need to talk to someone burdens me, but looks like my inner self is so ego, it persuades me to handle everything by myself, and incites me to ignore my feelings, which at the end I agree to comp...

Experience Studying In International Medical University, IMU

Image
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. Creds to Mr Google  This Monday, Semester 3 starts and I am officially a second year medical student, Alhamdulillah :') Have to get back on track soon, even though my heart feels heavy to leave home sob sob *said someone who goes back home almost every weekend :p hehe. First year went well, but I would be a great liar if I say there wasn't any breakdown or sadness or the giving-up feeling. Anyway, I don't think you guys wanna read about me... so let's get straight to the main thing haha. I would try my best to summarise the whole one-year journey in the simplest way and manner, but pardon me if it's still overloaded hehe.  The very first time I came to IMU was a year ago as an interviewee, sitting on the hot seat, in front of a lecturer and 2 other persons (they were students, I think). Before this I only know its existence as among of the top medical universities in Malaysia which I thought I could never...
